TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT

TACFIT® is a tactically-specific (reversely engineered from tactical skills) fitness system for recovery from intensity through workouts (4/7 day wave) and within the workout (breathing, vibration, heart rate recovery and biofeedback).

 

TACFIT was designed for agencies and Special Forces across the globe to achieve elite level fitness, while remaining injury free. These groups were in turn able to respond to crisis more effectively. It is perfect for any profession that requires rapid response, such as the police, fire fighters and rapid response teams across the globe.

 

TACFIT helps anyone achieve elite level fitness, helping them move in new, functional, and reality based patterns. The way your body was designed to move. Instead of normal boot camp sessions, which emphasize long and arduous aerobic work, that achieves little, TACFIT is 20 minutes of high intensity exercise (preceded by 10 minute warm-up exercises and followed by 10 minutes compensatory exercises). The intensity and diversity of the training means you'll being doing the equivalent of 4 and 1/2 hours of cardio.

 

Workouts can be customized to address specific strengths and abilities by adjusting the weights being used, and/or  the movement patterns related to that specific exercise.

 

Many other programs and boot camps select a randomized set of exercises, have a lack of effective warm up and cool down protocols, and often become dangerous through their "push harder and faster" ethos. TACFIT has been created through years of study, and has proven time and time again to create elite fitness in a safe and effective way. Each TACFIT workout has been specifically crafted to address weak movement patterns and make you fitter as you go through the program, while remaining INJURY FREE.

 

The exercises are performed with kettlebells, clubbells, parralette bars, medicine balls, pull-up bars, gymnastic rings or straps, sandbags and plyometric boxes, as well as bodyweight exercises, all designed to help you get leaner, fitter, stronger, and more agile. TACFITdevelops your metabolism similar to a furnace and transforms your body into a fat burning machine, as well as aids in:

 

• building functional power, stamina and agility,

• improves basic body alignment, biomechanical efficiency,

• develops ALL GO not “show” muscle as well as overall athleticism, and

• offers the greatest fun exercising in our “jungle gym for grown-ups” where the “field day” variety will make you forget you’re exercising!

About the creator

TACFIT was created by RMAX International co-founder Scott Sonnon, former USA National Police Team Coach for SAMBO Submission fighting – part of the Police and Fire Fighter Olympics.

 

Scott Sonnon - is a 5.11 Tactical Fitness Ambassador, and Official Tactical Fitness Consultant for the Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense

 

Scott Sonnon is a martial art expert, fitness coach, and wellness speaker. He has worked with movie stars such as Peta Wilson and fashion designer Donna Karan as well as Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts fighters such as Alberto Crane, Jorge Rivera, and Elvis Sinosic.

 

Scott was voted one of “One of the 6 Most Influential Martial Artists of the 21st Century” by Black Belt Magazine in 2010. As a dyslexic, institutionalized as a child, he became a TED Fellow speaking on the nature of multiple learning styles being misdiagnosed as learning disabilities.

 

Scott Sonnon was named one of the “Top 25 Fitness Trainers in the World” by “Men’s Fitness Magazine” in 2011. He is a global staff trainer for the 2014 Nike Academy. His fitness system, TACFIT, has been adopted by members of the United States military and law enforcement community. He is also a published author, a public speaker, and an advocate in the fight against childhood obesity.
